BACHELOR OF LAWS LL.B (HONS)
Course Outline
There are two course structures available for the LL.B. programme, the Conventional (Schemes A & B) and the Graduate Entry (Routes A & B), the difference between them being the number of years within which the degree can be completed and the number of subjects that need to be studied.

Conventional Entry (Scheme A) : 3-years programme - 12 subjects :

Conventional Entry (Scheme B) : 4-years programme - 12 Subjects :

Graduate Entry (Route A) : 2-years programme - 9 subjects :

Graduate Entry (Route B) : 3-years programme - 9 subjects :

Regular Classes for the compulsory subjects are conducted twice a week on Thursdays 6.30pm-9.30pm and Saturdays 2.00pm-6.30pm or Fridays 6.30pm-9.30pm and Saturdays 2.00pm-6.30pm. Optional subjects would be taught on certain weekdays 6.30pm-10pm. Please refer to our Class Timetables for more information.
In addition, there would be an eight-weeks Intensive Revision Programme held in March/April to prepare the students for the examinations, during which time classes would be held four times a week, on Saturdays, 2pm-9.00pm; Sundays 10am-5pm; Mondays and Tuesdays 6.30pm-9.30pm.
Special classes / Talks by University Professors would be held from time to time. There would also be Mock Examinations held every year to give the students an opportunity to gauge and assess themselves.
Students may also be asked to submit written assignments by their lecturers during the course of study. These are purely intended to monitor the students' progress during the course of study and would have no effect on the final examinations conducted by representatives of the University of London.
Examination Procedure and Award
The Bachelor of Laws may be examined in the following ways:

Examinations are held annually in May/June. The examination which is set and graded entirely by the University of London (to ensure quality and same standard as College-based students of the University of London) and is conducted in Singapore by RELC (Regional English Language Centre), the exam bureau in Singapore.
Examination format: Students are required to sit for a 3hours and 15minutes unseen written examination for each subject where they are required to answer 4 questions our of 8. Questions may be in the form of essays and problem questions.
Upon successful completion of the examinations, the student will be awarded a Bachelor of Laws Degree [LL.B (Honours)] 1st Class degree/ 2nd Class Upper Degree/ 2nd Class Lower Degree/ 3rd Class Degree, depending on their results achieved. To know more about the schemes of awards, please refer to Clause 8 of the University of London regulations.
