The Certificate is useful in providing a foundation of legal knowledge for professionals involved or have an interest in Intellectual Property. Whilst relevant to those with a legal qualification, it is designed for non-law graduates to enable them to grasp this contemporary topic with approaches to the legal issues as well as practical problems that may be encountered.

Course Outline

Intellectual Property is a rapidly expanding body of law that covers a wide range of rights. These are intangible rights and consists of diverse subject matter ranging from copyrights and industrial designs confidential information. IP rights undercut a wide variety of activities which affect commerce and even people's daily lives. As such, protection of such rights are of great economic interest.

Students with satisfactory attendance will be awarded a Certificate from ITC-School of Laws at the end of the course. Those who opt to sit for the University of London's (UOL) Examination held at the end of May will be awarded a Certificate from UOL upon passing.

  • Patents
  • Design Rights
  • Trademarks
  • Passing Off
  • Injurious Falsehood
  • Confidential Information

This is a nine months Course with classes held every alternate Wednesday (6:30 pm to 10:00 pm). Students are required to attend at least 70% of the classes.

Fees

The fee for this Course is S$2250*, payable to ITC on commencement of the Course.

The fee is also payable by installments:
Plan A: S$1177.50* x 2
Plan B: (S$800* x 1) + (S$320* x 5)

(* Fees stated are not inclusive of GST)


For students who opt to sit for the University of London's examinations, the following fees are payable in addition to the above Course Fee.
