I am in the IT industry and a substantial part of the industry is in protecting ideas, copyrights and liability.

After many years in sales and sales management, I wanted to move into an operational and legal role -- particularly as it pertained to contracts, contracts management, intellectual property and general legal matters. The job that I have now is quite broad based but there was a specific requirement for legal expertise. Without ITC, there is no doubt that I would not have been able to obtain the job that I did. The UOL degree obtained through ITC provided another dimension to my existing skill set that allowed me to seek broader options and different types of roles.

One of the best things about studying at ITC is that apart from the great addition to your qualifications it is just a wonderful experience. ITC is dedicated to law and therefore the ambiance and approach is not so much that of a large academic institution running various courses but rather it is more of a learned and legal organisation dedicated to the profession of law. ITC is small, friendly, full of extremely intelligent and helpful teachers. The facilities are good and the whole atmosphere is condusive to studying and achieving but is not overly oppressive.

After 20 years sales management experience in the technology industry across the world I was looking to make a change into a different role with different challenges. I was keen to stay in technology but wanted to move into a field that allowed me to leverage my existing knowledge and experience with legal work. ITC helped me achieve this goal by providing me with the qualifications to become a Global Agreements Program Manager at a leading IT Company. My job requires knowledge of the technology industry, dealing with sales partners but also involves drafting and deploying worldwide Agreements with Partner communities.
