All oil companies thrive on contracts of sale and technology, among others. A law degree is not only a prerequisite to be part of the law department in an oil company but is absolutely essential to understanding contracts.

Personally, at an intellectual level, the University of London Bachelor of Laws degree has given me the concepts necessary to understand and articulate the subtleties in human cognition and social dynamics. At work, I now see the underlying liability-evasion ideas behind many of the organizational practices and the connection between data protection and liabilities from lawsuits and the exact nature of these liabilities. Furthermore, even in mundane personal matters, such as the purchase of land or the renting of a house, the degree has come of use to understand the contracts drawn.

ITC classes were a treat to look forward to at the end of a work day. The thought provoking questions and discussions kept me alert in the class and were often nothing short of a life lesson in morality, ethics and human communication. I found them to be very impartial in their treatment of students, which spoke of their professionalism. No advice was left out in helping the students to prepare for the exams. Often their commitment to teaching in the face of personal commitments was an inspiration to watch. They were exemplars of the 'work hard, play hard' mantra. Their convivial company actually made me miss the place after the course got over. I realized that the three years of my life was enriched by ITC like nothing else.
